Formula E teams Envision, Mahindra pick drivers for Berlin/Spa WEC clash
The changes were made in response to a scheduling conflict between the Formula E race in Germany and the World Endurance Championship’s Six Hours of Spa on May 11-12. Drivers Sebastien Buemi, Robin Frijns, and Nyck de Vries will prioritize the Spa event, resulting in them missing the Formula E race. Joel Eriksson, Jaguar’s reserve driver, and Oliver Aron will replace them in the Envision Racing team for the Berlin event. Eriksson has previous Formula E experience, while Aron will make his debut after performing well in Formula 2 this season. Additionally, Tom Blomqvist will make his Formula E debut with Mahindra in Berlin, expressing excitement for the new challenge and opportunity to work with his familiar team.
